Bengal Cats - Colors and Patterns

Bengal cats come in a variety of colors and patterns, which make them perfect pets and the focus of the whole neighborhood. The TICA was first to recognize the Bengal cat and allowed them to be shown in brown, seal lynx, point, mink, and sepia. The cats could be spotted or marbled. Nowadays, silver, blue and solid black are also possible.

Brown spotted Bengal cats have dark markings on the light background that can be gray, tawny, or golden. Seal lynx point Bengal cats have blue eyes, whereas seal sepia spotted tabbies usually have spots on the ivory background. It is a characteristic feature of the Bengal cat to have markings that are contrasting to the background.

Whatever color pattern you choose, buy kittens that are three or four generations from the wild felines cats since a greater per cent of Asian Leopard cat can make difficult pets. Overall, Bengal Cats are active and friendly and are suited for families with children and other pets.
