This wild animal is the ancestor of the domestic cat breed. Bengal cats appeared at the beginning of the 20th century as an attempt to save the exotic look and unique health of the wild cat, crossing it with American Shorthair. It is impossible to buy a snow leopard bengal at a cattery, as catteries breed only domestic cats.
