The Asian Leopard was bred to the American Shorthair. Today, wild Snow Leopards and Marble cats can be mixed with the Siamese and some other domestic breeds. It results in a great variety of coat colors in the breed, but natural patterns are preferred.

This breed is currently accepted by the majority of associations: AACE, ACF, ACFA, TICA, and UFO; only CFA hasn’t registered these animals. Originally, the breed was created to preserve the exotic look of the Asian Leopard cat and transmit its immunity to domestic breeds.
